Family Counselling in London

Alisha Patel

Alisha Patel I have provided therapy to people from a range of different backgrounds, initially as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist, and later from 2009 in the role of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. Alongside my clinical role I provide supervision to therapy students I am also helping youth and their families to address relationships filled with pressure and anxiety. As they work with me they learn to find their inner strengths while they build skills to improve relationships, communication, accountability and responsibility.

We abide by the code of ethics and practice of the 'British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy' (BACP). BACP is the UK's professional membership association for counsellors and psychotherapists.

The kind of therapy we practice rests on the interaction between people, as it unfolds in the therapy room, or in your home. We treat each person as a unique individual. We treat each family as a unique entity.

Therapy can help you when you are going through a difficult time, and I know that it has helped some of the people closest to me too.

I can understand how reluctant you can be to take the first step because you are not sure whether you'd be able to share your thoughts and feelings with a stranger.

If you are seeking information and reassurance, I really believe that it would be better to meet and talk all this through.
